Weekly Devotional

He Said, She Said
by Al Millergren

In the 1980’s, a bad rumor was going around about McDonald’s. Someone got the rumor started that they were using earthworms in the hamburger meat to add protein. The rumor quickly spread across the United States. As the rumor continued the business steadily dropped and McDonald’s had to spend a lot of money to regain their reputation.

In our schools and youth groups rumors do not get to the point of world wide concern. However, they do greatly concern the person or organization that is being slandered.

Are you modeling a Jesus lifestyle in your daily life?

What impact are you making in your youth group by the way you communicate about others?

What are you doing verbally to lift others up?

Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. James 3:5-6

Romans 1:29; Psalm 140:1-3; I Peter 3:8-12
